Paris, November 12, 2020 – TEHTRIS, a French cybersecurity software provider and a European technology leader in the fight against cyber espionage and sabotage, announces its first funding round of €20 million. The round was led by Ace Management, a European leader in digital security private equity, with participation from Open CNP, the corporate venture fund of CNP Assurances, Nouvelle-Aquitaine Co-Investissement (NACO), and several business angels.
TEHTRIS develops and markets an XDR (eXtended Detection and Response) platform capable of detecting and neutralizing known and unknown digital threats in real-time and in an automated manner across corporate infrastructures.
Founded in 2010 by Eléna Poincet and Laurent Oudot, both experts in operational and technical intelligence, TEHTRIS employs over 60 people in France and has experienced strong, self-funded growth since 2017. Its mission is to contribute to European digital trust by combating all forms of cyber-aggression, such as data hacking and ransomware.
The large-scale shift to remote work in response to the health crisis and the migration to the Cloud have amplified certain IT vulnerabilities, creating new security and resilience requirements for businesses. Cybersecurity players are now contending with a sharp rise in attacks, highlighting a significant asymmetry between offensive and defensive capabilities.
To counter new threats that bypass traditional security measures, the products, algorithms, software bots, and artificial intelligence developed by TEHTRIS engineers are integrated into the core of its "TEHTRIS XDR Platform." Through this tool, TEHTRIS and its international partners monitor millions of IP addresses across more than 60 countries and analyze billions of events every week. TEHTRIS clients include major players in industry, engineering, and services, often operating sensitive or critical infrastructure.
" We are thrilled to complete this €20 million funding round, which will allow us to accelerate our role as a key player in European digital sovereignty by strengthening our technical, sales, and marketing teams ," explains Eléna POINCET, CEO of TEHTRIS. " The volume, velocity, and variety of attacks repelled by TEHTRIS every day underscore the growing need for automated security across all digital entities, backed by unified, trusted oversight ."
" To support our international expansion and sustain our rapid growth, we are announcing the creation of several hundred jobs over the next three years, primarily in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region around Bordeaux, as well as in Paris ," adds Laurent OUDOT, CTO of TEHTRIS. " Improved corporate resilience will require ubiquitous protection and a holistic vision, ensuring we are always prepared to face the unpredictable ."
" As the Covid-19 crisis demonstrates more clearly every day that companies need hyper-responsiveness in their ability to detect and react intelligently and automatically to cyberattacks, we are very proud to support TEHTRIS, a technology champion recognized in Europe for its high level of expertise in digital security. Thanks to this investment, made through our sector-specific cybersecurity fund and with the support of our specialized experts, we will help TEHTRIS take a new step in pursuing its development to meet this major need and to conquer new markets in France and internationally ," adds François Lavaste of Ace Management.
" We were convinced by the quality of TEHTRIS's sovereign XDR platform, which has already proven its effectiveness. The team has built a self-financed business, and we are happy to support its acceleration in France and internationally through our resources and expertise ," adds Frank Van Caenegem, CISO of CNP Assurances.
